  • select 'Register/Login' on the home page
  • click 'New User'
  • complete the registration form and, if appropriate, post your work opportunities

I have forgotten my password, what do I do?

  • select 'Register/Login' on the home page
  • click 'Forgot Your Password?' and enter the required information
  • your password will be sent to your email address within one business day

I am replacing a staff member for my organization, do I need to register?

Yes you must register as a new contact. Each individual is able to view only their own work opportunities. If you are replacing a staff member at your organization, and are now responsible for hiring, please let us know. We will then transfer all account information from this contact to your name.

POSTING WORK OPPORTUNITIES

When can I post a position?

The Career Centre online is available 365 days a year, 24 hours per day.

Are there any charges for posting a position?

There are no fees for this service.

How long are positions posted?

  • Positions are posted for 30 days.
  • Positions can be cancelled as soon as you have received sufficient response.
  • Students and recent graduates will be visible to students until the deadline date.

How do I post a position?

  • you are able to post your work opportunities during registration -
    • select 'Register/Login' on the home page
    • click 'New User'
    • complete the registration form and if appropriate, post your work opportunities
  • or, if you have already registered, and wish to post a position -
    • select 'Register/Login' on the home page
    • click 'Returning User'
    • enter your password and user id
    • go to 'Posting a Position', 'Post Now' on the menu sidebar

How do I repost a position?

  • select 'Register/Login' on the home page
  • click 'Returning User'
  • enter your password and user id
  • go to 'Your Account', 'Your Jobs' on the menu sidebar
  • select the previous job you would like to repost
  • choose 'Copy' and making any necessary changes

Are there other departments I need to contact to post a position?

All University of Toronto students have access to the career centre job board. There are some departments who offer job posting and/or other services specifically to students in their programs. The following is a list of programs who offer either job posting or other services to employers.

Is the Career Centre website the same as Workopolis Campus?

No, our services are not associated with Workopolis Campus.

The Career Centre website is restricted to University of Toronto students and recent graduates (up to 2 years post graduation). Over 31,000 students access the Career Centre services annually and our website is one of the primary sources used by students to look for work opportunities at various organizations.

EVENTS & ROOM BOOKINGS

Do you have Career Information Days?

  • Career Information Days (St.George campus, downtown Toronto) is held in September each year, for organizations wishing to enhance their visibility on campus, but are not necessarily hiring.
  • Career Fairs are held at all three campuses throughout the year.

Do you have on-campus interview rooms?

  • Yes. Our interviewing facilities are reserved for employers who post positions at the Career Centre.
  • Only U of T students may be interviewed in our facilities.
  • There are currently no fees for this service.

How do I arrange an information session for my organization?

  • You must be registered with the Career Centre and posting your work opportunities with us in order to host an information session.
  • Once registered, go to 'Your Account', 'Room Requests'.
